Description of Internship activities:
The Logistic Intern will be responsible for ensuring timely and appropriate support to the Logistic Department, in the accomplishment of the regular tasks related to coordination, planning, implementation and development of procedures/activities in the organization.
Specifically the intern will:
- support the procurement procedures carried out for the HQ and for the missions
- support the infrastructure management and IT activities of Rome HQ office
- relate with institutions, Italian and foreigners, to obtain VISA for expatriate staffs and to legalize the documents needed for the activities of the missions
- be the first contact with the project to support the logistic tasks of the Project Managers in the field
- manage other activities related to the department needs
The intern will be trained on:
– purchasing procedures of humanitarian organizations (depending on different donors)
– IT technologies used by humanitarian organizations (PCs, special software’s, telephony and satellite data connection)
